Isn't it amazing that everytime a team loses fans like you always have a scap goat - the referees? Have you ever thought that it isn't this Dan O'Rourke's fault that your players are off the ice because they commit penalties.

As far as him stating "They pay me to do my work." after, as you say, "We let him have it all night." what do you expect? If your fans are poor sports then it is your own fault if he makes an unsubstantiated remark such as that. Which, by the way is not a mean spirited and does not entitle you to call him a "prick".

Point taken with calling O'Rourke a "prick". I did not see the game that I referred to about the 5 guys in the box. I can, however, comment about this game and O'Rourke's calls were definitely inconsistent throughout the game. Whistling the puck dead too early too many times to me means he was just out of position too often, which would explain what we thought were the lack of calls on the ice. It went both ways - neither team was getting the calls. He was just inconsistent, and that, to me, doesn't make a good ref. It was those missed calls that just sent a lot of the fans - throughout the Allstate Arena, not just around us - nuts. Oh, and we won, BTW, so this is not using O'Rourke as the scapegoat. He just wasn't in control of the game.
