Huh? The 76th Annual Academy awards are 13 days away. And they're at the Kodak Theater on Hollywood Boulevard in L.A.
I went to the Museum of Science and Industry today (since it was a holiday and I had nothing else to do). They have on display the 50 Oscars that will be handed out at the 76th Annual Academy Awards on February 29th. The Oscar statuette is actually made in Chicago by the R.S. Owens Company, so they had them all on display before being shipped to California, including a Science & Engineering Award (hmmm... they were given out on Saturday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pasadena) and a Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. This was really really cool. This is the first time the Oscars have been on public display prior to the Academy Awards.
