An update on Indy the Bunny:
Carol talked to the vet today. Indy's got a note in her file saying she's not to go anywhere until at least Thursday. She's "alert" (which to me is a cautious word - it either means she's just awake and knows what's going on around her, or is actively up and about and is interested in things going on around her - I don't know which definition she's falling under). She hasn't eaten and has been being force fed. She's not producing any fecal pellets - meaning her whole G.I. tract is empty. She's on Valium to help with her struggling to urinate.
This just sounds so bad. Now, the flip side is that the doctor that's been caring for her wasn't working today and will be back tomorrow. Hopefully she'll work hard on Indy and we'll see something progress.
It just feels like it's going the wrong direction. How do you get a rabbit to start eating again after she hasn't for almost a week?
Could you send some "good vibes" out for our little Indy, please?
