Damn it... something has got a hold of me and I don't know where it came from... I'm getting the urge to do something that I've never done. Most people do it pretty regularly, and most of them do it pretty well. Me? Never did it.
I blame Trading Spaces.
I blame that damned perky Paige Davis, or that nymphette Genevieve Gorder. Certainly that wack-job Hilda Santo-Tomas - she of the feather walls, flower walls and corogated cardboard walls. Yes, I could do better. Kia Steave-Dickerson? Oh, yes. Vern Yip? Ummm... errrr... well... OK, probably not.
What the hell am I talking about?

Paint. I have the urge to paint. I don't know why. I've lived in my house almost 20 years. Never painted. Now - it's in my blood. I've got to do it.
I didn't have anything to do this afternoon, since I was on Stand Down. The next thing I knew, I was at Home Depot looking at paint chips.
Ooooo...
And they had not only the paint chip thingy's, they had some booklets that show how certain palletes look in sample rooms...
Ooooo...
And then... and then... and then I found myself wandering down the aisle of mouldings... ooooo... crown mouldings... oooooo... dentil cornice... oh, that would look sweet.... ooooo...
OH, CRAP... WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO ME?!?!?!?!?!

I knew I didn't get much traffic here at the ol' website. I also knew that no one really links to me either (let's face it - a mundane life is just not worth linking to). I registered at The Truth Laid Bear to be part of the TTLB Blogosphere Ecosystem.
Well, I've found out that I'm not a Insignificant Microbe (which actually made me feel better), and I'm not a Multicellular Microorganism, Wiggly Worm, Crunchy Crustacean, or a Lowly Insect.
I'm a Slimy Mollusc, and I'm not sure how I feel about being one of them. I'm not the bottom of the food chain, but... Slimy Mollusc? EW....
Time for another Friday Five...
1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year? heh... being employed
2. What was your biggest disappointment? not being employed at a salary level that is anywhere near what I used to earn...
3. What do you hope the new year brings? A more positive earnings outlook (boy, this seems one track right now...)
4. Will you be making any New Year's resolutions? If yes, what will they be? No, no resolutions. I just don't do it... I never wind-up keeping any, so why bother?
5. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? The annual party at B&B's!
